Can’t say why your other posts were downvoted because we don’t know what they are. Possibly people thought you were scare-mongering
If this happened, you’ve been doxxed.
You never provided that info to Lemmy & it’s not stored in Lemmy therefore it can’t be stolen from Lemmy.
Doesn’t mean nobody can figure out who you are based on your post history, comments or username.
This dude has spammed Lemmy with shit about a cabal of child porn. I think he’s sadly just unwell. He might be replying to one of my comments on his previous post by making this post. His last conspiracy post got deleted shortly after he answered me
It’s classic schizophrenia stuff, like talking with the FBI to report a specific person, but that person is actually someone else impersonating that other person (idk bro, I’m just repeating it)
Matches my initial vibe.
The only thing I can guess is that you have been doxxed. That usually happens when your data can be linked to you through either searching or analysis of the metadata of what you’re sending. I am sorry this happened to you because it is quite frightening. Despite our best efforts, the general rule of thumb is that anything you post is going to be very public and traceable. I am hoping that true end-to-end encryption to include metadata becomes a common solution soon.

Ok hard ass
Unfortunately, this is the internet and assholes abound. I don’t like it either but at least the fediverse has a lot less of the asshole behaviors because the community is really quick to shut this kind of behavior down. Do what you feel you need to do. Personally, I don’t like getting involved with law enforcement because I don’t want to risk inadvertently incriminating myself. You have to remember that police are agents of the state, and in many cases, they act on behalf of the wealthy as well. Unless you are in a position of power or money, interactions with the police are fraught with risk. I should know first hand because it happened to me. I was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor for providing food for the homeless in a park.
Apparently, the city was really trying to get rid of the homeless people in the park so they set punishment as 30 days in jail. Thankfully, the judge saw the utter disconnect of being punished for providing a humanitarian services and dropped the charges. Furthermore, she did me a solid by ordering that my arrest record be court sealed so it would not come up in a background search.
Damn, you got lucky… that’s basically a second life. Well, all is well that ends well.
Aye! For sure I did get lucky. As a personal thank you to her for her pragmatism and understanding, I did the technology for her campaign when she ran for reelection for free.

I haven’t knowingly done anything wrong. At the time I was charged with a misdemeanor I did not realize that providing food and water for the homeless was a criminal statute. I will say there is a difference between a law enforcement officer and a peace officer. A peace officer is one who is public safety minded and not one who is looking/itching to trip somebody up. It sounds like those in your circle might actually be peace officers instead.
Maybe it’s not a conspiracy… maybe people are just uninterested in reading your drama and don’t think it belongs in asklemmy.
