Name calling is the language of the weak. I it does take courage and I’m glad you summoned the courage to do so.

I hope you can find some healing and stabilization.

I’ve just started Rexulti, Klonopin, Chlonodine, and Ambien. Even though I’m only 5 days into it, I’m already starting to feel better.

I have to agree with you here because it comes in waves for me as well. But often spread out between 4-6 months and then I’ll get it for 2-3 weeks straight. It’s very unpleasant and I’m sorry you’re experiencing this.

This is my take on it as well. My phone is for basic quick communication. My real productivity happens on my laptop and desktop.

I don’t like confrontation either but it is important to set boundaries. I’ve done this. It’s okay for someone not to like me but I will not tolerate disrespect. I had somebody at work call me stupid because I could not solve their problem right then and there. When I get very angry, I speak quietly and enunciate my words. I said to this person, “I’m going to leave now. You let me know when you’re ready to work with me.” To which she responded that she would call me and I retorted, “No, you will not call me. You will send me a Teams message or an email.” And I walked away. Naturally I got accused of all kinds of things but I documented what happened and signed and dated it. HR found in my favor.

If the ice cream is cheap and shitty, neither flavor will be good. But honestly I like vanilla and chocolate together. They’re nice complimentary flavors.

Well, imagine someone opening the door if the water hasn’t fully drained out and the ensuing mess. If you’re wondering if someone is stupid enough to do that, then the answer is unequivocally yes. There is a reason the door locks for that amount of time - so somebody doesn’t brain fart, open the door, and flood the laundry room.

This doesn’t work because of the decentralized nature of lemmy. Once it’s posted it is there. You can delete it from your the instance that you’re on but it won’t immediately - if at all - take effect on other instances.

Well as they say, every dog has their day. It could be that the driver is just having a shitty day and we all have them. I try to be empathetic. As long as the guy isn’t spouting out hatred and biogtry, they’ll just get a reduced tip. I’ve been known to give even bigger tips to delivery drivers that are just plain awesome.

Given that gasoline is high and many pizza places pay pathetic sums of money, I always give 30% unless the driver was just plain rude and then I reduce it to 20%.

Coca Cola will vary in flavor between product made with high fructose corn syrup and natural sugar.

Honestly, that still would not be enough to change my opinion here about Work From Home. We have the systems and tools at our disposal to make the office life redundant. The notion that work from home employees largely abuse the privilege is simply an opinion without any hard facts to back it up. Indeed it is actually the opposite. Employees are happier and more productive. A minority may abuse the privilege but those are the ones you fire for cause. You don’t end a system that works overwhelming well. That would be kind of like scrapping a car because there is a small scratch on it.

The old notion of having to punch a clock is over as well!

I only like the color gold because of its implied value.

That’s really cool but still out of my price range.

ARM64 for the masses
Hey! Does anybody have any information about if and when a company might offer ARM64 for general desktop use? I would like to build my own in the same way that I might build a desktop PC out of an Intel or AMD processor.

[SOLVED] New Lemmy Admin
EDIT: With thanks to [u/code@lemmy.mayes.io](https://lemmy.goblackcat.com/u/code@lemmy.mayes.io), I have a solution for cleaning up the one table that is growing ridiculously in size and that is the activity table. A `TRUNCATE activity;` command cleaned that right up. A word of caution is in order because the Lemmy instance must be shutdown completely and only the postgres container running if you're using docker. As a new Lemmy admin, I think I really need to learn PostgreSQL administration because I need a way to keep my database from ballooning in size and there are no management tools built yet for it. Would someone be so kind as to recommend a good website for learning PostgreSQL? This would also help me maintain my mastodon instance.
