The still unconfirmed next-gen console has been rumored for a while now

Doesn’t look very slim.

I was going to say, except for the groove in the side, it looks like a normal PS5.

It’s apparently about 5cm shorter, which makes sense given how they’ve reworked the internals. So “PS5 Petite” might be a better name. 🤣

PS5 Short King it is.

PS5 “slightly less massive” version.

That’s what I thought too when I saw it.

I feel like if they were going to release a slim version of the 5 then they’d almost certainly ditch the wings.

Especially given that it’s supposed to have an external BR drive to stack on it.

Is it too much to ask for a regular box shaped console that doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb?

I think it looks really cool

And lose the iconic popped collar look? Never!

Going from 1 USB port and 1 USB-C port in the front to 2 USB-C ports in the front is really annoying for users of existing wired controllers such as arcade sticks

adapters work. a minor inconvenience at worst.

As long as you don’t misplace it. You might have to take it out if using a PS5 that does have a front-facing USB port

Where’s the parallel printer ports!

But then maybe Sony can sell you an adapter.

That really is what port starvation comes down to, really. Docking stations, singles, adaptors… Just selling a great device doesn’t make all the money companies want
