“All violence is caused by cis white men” politician said that quote and I’ve seen many people defend the statement. I don’t think it’s true and my knowledge of history makes me think it’s not true but I’m not sure if I’m correct since colonialism did do a lot of damage.

you can be an outright racist on 4chan … if someone debates you, you can entertain yourself endlessly
if you aren’t a racist … you get to have some fun … and tell everyone you are fake
if you are an actual racist … you get to affirm your deluded beliefs … and tell everyone you are fake
My issue is even if that’s true it kind of doesn’t matter because it’s making the people who are ACTUALLY racist/homophobic/name your bigotry flavor feel comfortable enough to be genuinely horrendous. Fucking with the Overton window like that ain’t cool.
