There are multiple music production communities:
!musicproduction@lemmy.ml
!musicproduction@sh.itjust.works
!musicproduction@lemmy.studio
I will argue against what others have said: don’t create another one specifically for your need. It will either end up being pretty dead or you’ll need to put a lot of energy into building it up.
Agreed, I would appreciate the extra traffic at !musicproduction@sh.itjust.works
It’s small enough that extra specificity isn’t necessary yet.
Ah thanks!
Yes you are right. I’m not the person to manage a community to begin with.
Be the change you want to see in the world. It could lead to an exceptional journey.
Yes please join us at !musicproduction@sh.itjust.works
We’re still growing and I’d be happy to help and share advice.
I don’t think so, but there probably should be. As the other commenter suggested, if you want a community like that, make it yourself! That’s what Lemmy is all about!
Nah, I made one and it’s dead on arrival. Not really interested in managing a community.
I want it to exist and see what other people do with it. Participate now and then but not be the driving force behind it.
I’m not focused enough for that :D
What do you want to know? I haven’t had the time or head to make much music recently but I’ve been doing it for over a decade.
Nothing in particular. I just want to get into an environment where people on my level share their stuff to motivate me.
In my experience, when you show your stuff to people that don’t make music they compare you to professional productions and I don’t think that is appropriate.
If you show it to people with a lot of experience it becomes to student/teacher like.
I want to get better and have fun, I don’t want to be successful in a business sense with this.
So yeah, just want an atmosphere that suggests I’m not alone in this.
Ah ok cool, well I guess you can send me stuff if you want
