Is it possible to send messages from lemmy to mastodon or any other fediverse services
I tried it using voyager but didn’t recieve any from mastodon
If not how would sup work(the fediverse im by pixelfed). Is sup end to end encrypted, any guess how would they implement it
Anyway i’m waiting for .sup and suprises from fediverse

I ran into this issue while working on Canvas, Lemmy DMs do not properly federate with other softwares (like Mastodon)
The magic of the fediverse is that Lemmy posts are already available on Mastodon!
For example you can see every posts and comments made to this community by opening the
@asklemmy@lemmy.mlprofile on Mastodon. It works with Lemmy users as well (@covert_czar@lemmy.dbzer0.com).From there, you can follow communities and users as well as reply or boost any post or comment!
It also works the other way around: you can post to Lemmy from Mastodon by mentioning the community (ie.
@asklemmy@lemmy.ml). Just keep in mind that the first line will be the title, while the following lines will be the post’s body, and that hashtags are rendered as text on Lemmy.Edit: my links to mastodon.online were redirecting to the Lemmy instances instead of showing the profiles in Mastodon.
They are trying to do DMs, not posts.
