Yeah this confused me at first too. You donβt need to add other instances. You just go to the search tab, and search via sh.itjust.works as normal, and it will show communities from anywhere. I am also on sh.itjust.works and can verify I was able to find /c/Canada on lemmy.ca that way. :)
