Also, Pepsi Max is a zero calorie drink, so 1 a day is hardly a lot. Three artificial sweeteners aren’t the best for you, but OP shouldn’t feel like they are ruining their health on that.

To this point, for me, it was all about the bubbles. So replacing with a seltzer water did wonders. Sometimes I still have a craving to pound bubbles real quick.

BG3 does give the ability to send stuff from lootable locations directly to camp, which solves half the problem. If I could sell stuff directly from camp the other side would be solved.

There is a valid argument of part of thee reasoning being determining what is really important to you prevents you from picking up literally everything and breaking the economy. But Starfields economy already seems pretty broken in my favor. I significantly upgraded my ship on both my first and second visits to New Atlantis. So I’m having a hard time feeling overwhelmed by the encumbrance.

I will say, finding a vehicle and not being able to drive it was a bit disappointing. But otherwise, I just wish there were more resources on the barren worlds.

Depending on implementation, the lookup should be indexed so the time difference would be very minimal on even large tables.

The cutest of storage could be a problem depending on how many wasted accounts exist, but even that should require a ton of accounts to make an impact.

I blocked 196 but left memes because it’s less obnoxious. The only other things I’ve been blocking are the various pics-of-specific-celebrity communities.

It’s simple. They see the writing on the wall and are going to act like it was what they wanted all along.

I didn’t even realize it was close to release. Now I’m torn because I’m in the middle of BG3 and I know I’ll be playing Starfield after that.

Dark mode everything. No special styles needed.

I usually leave the lights off and light modes are way too bright.

Anybody who hasn’t seen Steel Battalion should go watch a video of a first play through.

They really assume the player is going to read (have) the manual for that game and have a series dig at you if you don’t.

It’s not good that the games are broken and they are relying on modders to fix them. It would be totally fine if they released a fully functioning thematic sandbox for modders to play in though.

The thing about Bethesda games is that their modding tools are far and away from any other game, making serious improvements much more accessible. That’s one of the major draws of them.

I just wish every game didn’t have an unofficial patch requirement to keep it from crashing too often.

This is basically how I feel.

Reddit had some great aspects. Niche communities about hobbies I might be interested in had wikis with intros on how to get started being something I miss.

My biggest issue with the Lemmy community is we seem to have brought the thirst-communities and the meme communities in great numbers but the hobby communities are really lacking.

Generally speaking I’m not interested in pics of attractive celeb number 7864 and while memes are fun their over abundance was why I was looking for a new content aggregator before the API changes.

You’ve definitely been fortunate.

It’s far from unplayable. I’m still enjoying it. But it does have some issues.

I’m playing it on the Steam Deck, but it definitely has issues. Have to occasionally restart the game because it starts lagging or being able to interact.

Yeah. I get it. I’m not really even thinking about it as a Final Fantasy game with a lot of this. My callbacks to FFXIV are because that’s an MMO and we expect the concessions in MMOs to repetitive animations and lower tier graphics to allow for the content churn. For a new game to just look and feel like a 10 year old MMO with graphics is kinda rough.

This game feels like they meant to have a ton more and just didn’t in the end. Not every game needs an open world but if I do compare it to other FF games, it definitely feels the least open.

I have felt some of the boss fights were really good. I guess I would have just given it a 5 or 6.

I think I’m mostly upset by how much acclaim it’s been getting.

FFXVI - Am I crazy?
I've been playing Final Fantasy 16 for the last couple of weeks and feel really let down by the hype and reviews of this game. While I enjoy the deviation of the combat the rest of the game feels very incomplete. The vocal animations are frequently off. The travel from area to area is just an overworld map to select travel from one small area to another. There are like 2 or 3 side quests at a time and a whole vendor that will send you to side quests in different areas, but his menu is always empty. In general, the graphics are roughly the same as FFXIV. The animations and music seem ripped right out of 14 as well. And the combat and akin to the main series Kingdom Hearts games. Overall I'm enjoying it, but these 7-9 out of 10 reviews that are calling it some massive achievement seem really undeserved.

There’s an achievement for it.

I felt like this was the intention. Play through it having fun learning the mechanics and then follow up with a replay to challenge yourself.

Also playing FF16. I really enjoy the combat mechanically but feel like it takes too long for how fast paced it is.

I also feel like the animations are a bit stiff compared to 15.

I’m this particular case, I think there is a lot to criticize.

8GB minimum RAM is a lot of requirement for an OS. It makes Microsoft look like they have forgotten what an OS is supposed to be doing.

The floating taskbar might look nice, but to me it looks like they are trying to mimic MacOS or Gnome3. While there’s nothing wrong with that, it does seem like Microsoft is not innovating so much as following.

I think many people are just jaded by Microsoft, though. The last couple of releases have been kinda meh and with them dropping support for older hardware entirely and sunsetting support for Windows 10 soon they are leaving a lot of users out to dry.

As a developer who has to support Windows 11 currently, I find the prospect of Windows 12 replacing 10 to be cause for worry. Windows 11 has been a nightmare to support just due to the API not being idempotent with 10. Queries that work in 10 don’t work anymore in 11.

I’ve been using Linux for probably 12 years now and recently bought a System 76 laptop.

I’m genuinely surprised how good Pop! OS is. It works so smoothly on their hardware.
