That is an enormous amount of words to say, “Elon Musk is a piece of shit.” I suppose the context helps. But as the events unfolded in real time in 2022, it was clear how much of a piece of shit he is, was, and always has been.

I long for the day his money is gone and he’s peddling his bullshit to anyone who will listen at the homeless shelter in which he resides. Wishful thinking, of course, since there are still millions of mindless stooges who think he’s Iron Man.

Sounds like you simply don’t like science fiction video games then. Thanks for letting us know. I’m gonna go play some Starfield now.

Now it makes sense why some of the Fox News-parroting, right wing people I know use Brave. I had no idea about what the author mentioned about the browser, I just know it is based on Chromium which I will not use. Thus, I am on Firefox. And for many reasons, including those the author laid out, I’m happy I chose wisely.

Can’t wait for my copy. I backed the original kickstarter and have been eagerly awaiting ever since!

PC: 7TB, all SSD

XBOX Series X: 3TB, if I remember correctly

I sure hope it fails. I hope he becomes poor and destitute. I hope his sycophants wake up from their self-delusion about him and he is effectively lost to time. He is a useless, waste of existence.

And to be honest, if I had the media empire he has built up and the pressure and fortunes that come with it, I would probably turn into an asshole too.

Well that’s too bad that you automatically expect that to be the case. But I never called him an asshole, I called him a moron.

I think his laziness and sloppiness is better than actual malice, at least. He didn’t mean to sell someone else’s prototype, he just didn’t bother to check if it was okay, like he didn’t bother to test the prototype on the card it was designed for.

I guess it’s okay, then, that he’s just incompetent while reaching hundreds of thousands or millions of people he influences on purchasing decisions. I mean it’s not like most or all those people believe and trust him or anything.

EDIT> Oh and this seems apropos. Hmm, maybe there indeed is malice.

Linus has always struck me as someone who thinks he knows what he’s talking about, acts like he does, and can sell it. When, in fact, he’s nothing but veneer on top of a moron. This, to me, proves it. I’m so glad I never got caught up in his cult of personality.

Shedding light with bias is the whole problem with media in the current landscape. They’re never done objectively. All it does is provide a feedback loop within the echo chamber, further dividing people with the result of “see, I told you the other side is bad.” Motivations matter. Lunduke has, in the past, proven where his motivations are. If he actually reported on all political, economic, technological goings-on in an objective manner, given he is a pretty good communicator, then I’d withdraw my opposition to him. Until such time, I keep to my opinion of him and have no interest in his articles. I can form my own opinion of Mozilla independent of what Lunduke or FOX News or MSNBC tries to get me to ingest.

So where’s Lunduke’s articles on the numerous right-wing shady organizations? I haven’t listened to or read anything by this hack in many years now because of the fact that he has a clear agenda motivated by his own political bullshit.

Maybe find an article that is written by someone reputable and post that to numerous communities.

Of course they are. Because literally everyone and everything is screwing all of us who aren’t super rich.

Came here to say exactly this. Take my upvote!

Brother!! Sister? No matter…c’mere you hugs or high fives, whichever you prefer

Brooklyn 99, Babylon 5, Star Trek various series. We pick a series to watch while we eat dinner. Sometimes it’s a series we haven’t seen fully before (we may start Cheers soon), and sometimes it’s one we’ve seen multiple times (Avatar the Last Airbender, Star Wars Rebels, etc). It’s fun :)

As expected. I’m eager to see how everything will play out. I’m happy Kotick will finally be completely gone, but I’m not happy about consolidation.

When Noah was on some of the Jupiter Broadcasting podcasts, he had a number of right-wing editorialized viewpoints during discussions. Chris didn’t seem to bite much on them (at least, at the time), so I’m guessing Chris didn’t care for it much (speculating here). I stopped listening simply because of off-handed comments I’d hear Noah make. It didn’t happen that often, but it was enough to put me off listening. I honestly suspect Noah is more center than right-wing, but I’d much rather he just kept on topic and checked his political leanings at the door.

Now that it’s Chris and other hosts, Linux Action News and Linux Unplugged might be good ones to check out, if you’re into Linux.

This is tempting. I would advise just making money off the domain name. I’d wager someone might pay you for it.
