Perfect hearing man.

Might finally get rid of my tinnitus and I could hear silence again.

You mean pointing a laser at a rock for a few seconds until it pops isn’t interesting? /s

Console gaming is just easy. No launchers, no installation problems, I know that every game I download to it is going to work. I don’t need to worry about upgrading parts or troubleshooting software.

And really though, with Game Pass I’m not at all worried about game costs. It’s just a non-issue. Anything not on the service, I’ll buy normally.

There’s no way Nintendo abandons the removable joycons. They’re such an important part of the switch experience.

Literally all Nintendo needs to do is release essentially the same hardware format with increased computing power, better screen, and a bit more “robustness” in the hardware (the OG feels plasticy and flexes quite a lot).

They’d sell it probably as much as the original. Because BOTW and TOTK deserve higher graphical output.

Waffles > French Toast > > > Pancakes.

Pancakes just turn into a gelatinous mess after a minute and make you feel like shit for eating them. They’re a dessert, not a breakfast.

God damn, I’m still somehow extremely impressed by how small storage has gotten. That’s wild.

The steam deck is about half as powerful as the Series S. If you don’t want mobile gaming, there’s zero reason to buy the steam deck over the Series S.

“Why do you take so many goddamn pictures of our cat?”

“Why wouldn’t I?”

This is a dumb take. Humans are entirely capable of coexisting with nature, but we’ve collectively chosen not to because life is easier that way. We’ve risen so far above mere survival, that we’re able to sit around and argue about how ill equipped modern humans are for survival over the Internet.

We’re so intelligent that we realize killing each other is a bad thing and have written down laws to prevent it, but we’re still irrational and emotional that we do it anyway. But animals killing each other is nature’s primary state of survival.

I’m not assuming anything about how you parent. I’m making a suggestion based on the content of the post.

Roblox is probably not a good thing for children and as a parent, you should take certain things away from your kid if it’s not healthy for them.

How is that controversial?

Gambling, sexual content, addiction, violence.

Just because it’s a mobile game doesn’t mean it’s not dangerous. You must have seen mobile game ads across the internet for ones with sexual content to try to lure people into using them. People blow tens of thousands of dollars on these things.

You shouldn’t have to convince your daughter of anything, unless she’s an adult.

You’re the parent and you know so much better than the child what is and isn’t good for them. It’s good to give them decision-making freedom, but sometimes you have to step in to stop them from engaging in unhealthy or dangerous behavior.

The weirdest problem we’re going to have is that AI could get really good at faking consciousness. It could merely be mimicking consciousness based on how it’s learned consciousness should look like, but is really just regurgitating information.

So how do we tell the difference between “real” consciousness and mimicry?

I had thought that at least Microsoft’s plan was to for allow their cloud infrastructure to handle background loading processes so that there didn’t need to be such giant file sizes and so developers could have more computing power to work with.

Whatever happened to that?

Those different sets of steps basically boil down to a student finding all the ways they can to cheat and spending hours doing it, when they could have just used less time to study for the test.

Not saying that you’re cheating, just that it’s the same idea. Usually the quickest solution is to just tackle the thing head-on rather than find the lazy workaround.
