Thanks! I’ll pick it up today to surprise her with.

Thanks! When I saw free to play I worried that it was bad.

Questions about The Sims
My wife asked about the sims. She has an m1 MacBook Air and I see there are 98 dlc options. Do I need certain one or can she do free to play. Or is an older version better? What do I need to know?

As far as I know, the new version didn’t change a single thing other than graphics and maybe some bugs. Right now, I am doing an oblivion gate and I am just running through without fighting anyone. I actually just turned my steamdeck on and was in the last room. It was too easy and much better that way.

I finally started playing the original release on Steam since I don’t have a powerful computer.

It is fun, but it’s much smaller than I imagined. People always complain about the drauger ruins in Skyrim as being repetitive, but damn those oblivion gates are just the same thing again and again. Hardly any variety between them.

I’m pretty close to just dropping this game and starting up Skyrim again.

I will sometimes watch them on YouTube as it’s a compilation of a certain kind of goofy video. Otherwise I’m getting random clips from all kinds of genres.

Have you tried to use a search engine recently?

Last night I searched for average cost of food in Tuscany and the top site said it would be around $14,000 a day.

I’d ride across 8 lanes of road at the busiest intersection to get to my friends house and my parents didn’t care. I also had a few hours a week at a pet store when I was 12, so I could bike to my friends house and we’d just order pizza and hand out during the summer.

Gotcha, I guess I enjoy that a bit. They have a rainbow chest mode. Have you tried that?

Each floor gives you one chest in the starting room and when you opened it, you can choose 1 of 12 items and is guaranteed to be a great item.

Yeah I love the first one. Also have hundreds of hours on it. I think the only things I’ve not unlocked are from the secret boss fight that is different from the others.

Exit was pretty terrible. It felt like a gimmicky cash grab.

I loved the first game and I’m so excited for the second one. I’ll pick this up on day one. If you haven’t played the first one, please check it out, I’m sure it’s super cheap at this point.

I agree with you, I think that issue can be handled if they make her a great martial arts fighter.

But she can’t just magically know it, there has to be a reason why she knows how to fight, but that applies to men too.

I do not have a problem with a female lead in a show. One thing that may be overlooked her is when they make a movie with a female lead and make a bad movie.

My wife watches a lot of spy, military action type movies. A lot of the time, the stories are poorly written and cheesy when they put a female lead in the show.

One example of this was a movie where the girls dad who died was CIA. His daughter somehow ends up involved in some CIA thing and is able to survive the whole thing even though she has no formal training. So, while this issue occurs with male leads, there are fewer movies like this with female leads so it may look like there is a higher percentage of movies with female leads that people do not like.

Look at the movies with female leads that are great, (Almost anything with Michelle Yeoh), Star Trek Discovery, Star Trek Lower Decks, hidden figures, Alien, Zero Dark Thirty. I am sure there are more that I can’t think of.

I think that the female lead may get blamed for a bad movie, or people just don’t like bad movies and it is assumed it is because it is a female lead.

Yeah, like programs to subsidize the low wages of Walmart workers.

I’m all for supporting people who need it, but if our taxes are going towards food stamps to save Walmart money, then Walmart is just taking my money.
