I can not watch the video now but I have read description.
Thing is I see them more as entertainers than IT professionals, so I don’t expect any valid data from them. If not before, it became obvious with the whole Linux for a month fiasco where he complains that it’s Linux’s falult he deleted important packages.
But I get it, youtube is forcing this dramatic, often, high performing videos on all creators. You can see it explained very often by various youtubers.
Of course they care more about quantity, because Algorithm will punish them for not publishing and they will disappear.
No one living from youtube can not be trusted right now, they are all forced to publish often clickbity dramatic videos.
I think that main problem is not what you personally said, but that they are hearing the same slur all day, every day, from different people.
Frequency they hear it is what makes it problematic.
“your personal liberty to swing your arm ends where my nose begins” but you have to be more understanding to be able and see where their nose is. Sadly, it is a bit closer than expected.
I don’t know what will AI suggest.
I work in sustainable agronomy R&D, yes we most certainly can. Just by changing agricultural practices we can achive a lot. Not all of a sudden, but slowly we van change it in few decades.
We can also go back to small and efficient cars. Looks like electric cars gave us right to pollute more and ignore problems electric cars are bringing and we don’t have solutions.
We can also produce and buy locally.
We can add tax and real price to plastic producers, corn producers, meat producers, coal, nuclear. Real and complete price they have on environment and society. Don’t use uranium from slave mines in Africa, or lithium from undeveloped countries and say “it’s cheap”.
Develop and use public transportation.
So we do have a lot of knowelage how to reduce pollution, but we just don’t like consequences.
So the right question is if we will do something about it and in that I am not certain. Until now I see no movement in the good side.
I think trchnical solution is not s problem, if we decide what needs to be applied we can do it.
If kid finds grandmother’s id - it is simple enough, punish grandma for providing her id, it will teach adult to be responsible. Additionally, not all kids will be able to do it. I doubt they will follow us.
My opinion, eve if it is obvious, parents are responsible Punish them for not protecting their kids.
I don’t even know how to answer questions.
I lost my old account and now I don’t have points on new account and I can not do anything. I can not vote, I can not comment, I can not answer questions. So I just dropped it. I can not even thank (by liking or upvoting) a person whose answer helped me.
I believe others have similar experience.
I agree with you, I miss comments from random people, even on youtube, most of the time it os some useful insight.
That was the worst part of having some subscription, no coments.
This is consequence of walked garden. Creators should be compensated, but this model is not for me.
