I’ll believe that they’ll stop shipping security patches when they actually do it. It would obviously be a terrible idea for the reason you stated.

For me I switched to laser precisely because I don’t print often. My ink jet was constantly getting clogged/dried out from under use.

I’ve heard that those treatments are fairly indiscriminate and will kill most insects, not just mosquitoes. I worry about the effect on the local ecosystem such as birds that would eat them.
