I wish fairphone was avaliable in some Asian counties at least.

Yes, I’ve experienced that too. Newpipe generally functions smoothly on my phone, working around 98% of the time. However, when I opt for invidious, the videos sometimes doesn’t play.

Recently, I’ve been leaning towards using Freetube more. I’ve configured it to include invidious in the settings. It appears that it seamlessly switches between different invidious instances, ensuring an better user experience than just using a normal invidious instance.

Thanks. I am aware of other instances, but my friends and family don’t understand the point of it. Anyways… I’ll see if I can get them to try other instances of Jisti.

This is indeed sad news. I made my friends (who don’t care about free software) switch from google meet to jitsi for video calls just the other month.

The only thing that got them sold on jitsi was that it required no login.

Try checking torrent sites like torrentgalaxy , thepiratebay …etc. you will eventually find what you are looking for.

  • Try to listen/think before you start talking.
  • Listen to your parents even if you don’t feel like it.
  • Stop watching the naughty stuff because it’s bad for you.

You can actually see my instance by looking at my username.

There are many instances out there, you could use something like fedidb to decide on which one you want to join.

Good thing I moved to a different instance.

You walk around town as a tech illiterate middle aged man only to bully his bullies and fall for scams.

I don’t think this feature will be anything like reddit or lemmy. But I do see what they are going for.

Unless they have something like AI powered moderation, it will turn into a shit show really quickly.

I was in a similar situation an year ago. I’m still not where I want to be, but I’m getting there.

Ideally, a routine which incorporates enough physical exercise, challenge and rest will get you to a much better state of mind.

There’s a reason why many of the comments on this post are about physical activities. It just works.

xManager is a must use for me. It’s like vanced for Youtube.

I’d also suggest Linux Mint if you are just starting out. In fact, it’s still a great distro for advanced users as well. I use it as a fallback distro sometimes.

You could also check out Fedora or rather a gaming optimized fork of Fedora named - Nobara Linux.
