you’ll probably need to talk to some people about it before you secure patent protection. whenever this comes up, have people you talk to sign a non disclosure agreement first. talking about your idea outside of an NDA would most likely be considered public disclosure and could limit your ability to get a payment for it.

talk to a patent attorney

just started using Firefox with ublock origin for the same reason. I run the kagi plug-in on Firefox so I can tailor my search engine preferences (https://kagi.com/). I go back and forth between those two mostly.

yep. that’s the correct spelling for that sound

I’m a fan of the WHY FILES. hit a similar genre as what you seem to like

yep, same here.

which brings up another good suggestion (since I haven’t seen it yet)… AvE. https://youtube.com/@arduinoversusevil2025. if you like smart, irreverent commentary on tool build quality and other similar stuff, this cannuk is freaking hysterical. and, I must say, quite informative

browsing other instances?
do any off the Lemmy or kbin apps provide a way to browse instances other than your own? kind of like filtering for "local" posts but local to another federated instance. I've subscribed to communities from other instances once I find ones I like. but the only way I can "find" them it's if I see an interesting post when I filter for "all" posts - what some other site might refer to as a post making it to the front page I guess I could hunt from a web browser to do that, but I'd rather not have to switch between apps to do that
