If that’s why Google is paying them, to keep them alive, then they’re effectively a puppet

They pay Mozilla between 83-86% of their yearly revenue to be the default search engine.

That’s where basically all Mozilla’s funding comes from.

If Google decides they want their competition gone, they just turn off the money pipe. They are at their mercy.

Edit: here’s an interesting article I found with a quick search. I’m sure there are more.

Unfortunately Google control Firefox too 😐

In the UK I was given the option of German or French, but I wasn’t taught very well, and could barely speak a few basic sentences after 5 years of schooling. If this is a common experience, as I believe it is, it results in a populace who speaks english only. (Obviously exaggerated by the commonality of English on the internet and popular media)

It blows my mind how inefficient my school must have been. Right now, I can’t imagine learning something for 5 years and retaining nothing.

Espresso.

It started with a second hand cheap machine from my grandmother as a gift for Christmas.

Then I bought a delonghi grinder for £50 and a used delonghi dedica for £60.

Then I upgraded the grinder to a baratza sette for £300.

Then I upgraded the espresso machine to a Lelit Bianca for £2000

Then I bought an EG-1 grinder for £3000

Now I’m looking to upgrade my machine soon.

Also I bought acaia scales and a puqpress and various coffee related things along the way, as well as spending essentially £10 a week on beans

Absolutely. I play a huge variety of games and genres, I adore it as an art form, and love delving into the development and theory of it all.

“Hi, I like video games”

“OH LIKE COD AND FIFA ON XBOX?”

“No…”

“Oh…”

"Nice weather… "

Sonarr/Radarr > Jellyfin > Nvidia shield > Denon AVR > LG OLED 🤌

It wasn’t until I started using sync, and my scrolling time skyrocketed.

I listen to DnD podcasts every single night.

The adventure zone. Dungeons and daddies. Naddpod.

These three have kept my brain occupied and entertained for YEARS.

It’s just frustrating to set a 15 minute timer and have no idea where you fell asleep and what you missed the next day when you press play.

I had an S10E that I loved. But then I had a baby and wanted better pictures as memories. So I upgraded the camera I had on me at all times, and went for an S22U. Took a while to get used to the huge size difference, but I couldn’t be happier.

Also got it ‘used’ from Facebook marketplace, brand new in its box for almost half price. The guy had it as a free upgrade from his service provider, didn’t want to change phones, and wanted some quick cash for it. Had all the paperwork and everything.
