That’s one thing I don’t like about kbin. I’m used to upvotes and downvotes and trying to be Reddit and Twitter at the same time just doesn’t work. I think we should leave microblogging to Mastodon and concentrate on link aggregation.
Reddit has been a toxic cesspool for a long time. I just realised how desensitized i have become to this sort of thing after mainly being active here. I really hope we can keep it that way.
It’s up to us to build something better here. Reddit was built by it’s users and more often than against the owners rather than with them. Here we have a chance to build a platform that reconciles the interests of the owners and users.
It’s not just his ego but also his incompetence which has been very apparent for his entire tenure. I really don’t get how they’ve be never managed to find someone who’s up to the job.
