I’ve put around 400 hours into that game. But I’ve only “completed” it once.

I came from divinity where you needed to play the game on tactician to experience all the content. Not sure if bg3 is the same way but I went in with that mindset.

Such a great game and so much to explore. Took me back to when I was a kid trying to 100% mass effect.

So many studios fail to breath life into their worlds and pump them full of tedious bs. (Looking at you starfield. What a let down that was…)

I can’t say I’ve ever heard your use of the term open world before. As I’ve known it, it’s always meant a game world where you can practically go anywhere with minimal to no barriers. Such as GTA3 and that bloody bridge.

If yet another game comes out where the core mechanic is climbing a tower to reveal the area, I might scream.

I have a colour laser brother that’s been happily working for over 10 years. They are solid printers.

I’m only aware of people using ham radio for community mesh networks.

Are there more sophisticated community networks? Or do you just mean something like an ISP cooperative group?

Emulating x64 on ARM at the speeds required by a game is virtually impossible.

This has been done and it works reasonably well on a case by case basis.

They support games for Windows, Mac and Linux.

Those are all PC platforms. And Mac support is mostly dead after what Apple did.

I didn’t care much for botw. I still cleared it and had fun. It’s just the item durability system frustrated me. Everything felt cheap and not rewarding as a result.

Companies need a well paid fall guy so they can demonstrate the illusion of solving the major problem by letting them retire.

Even the current Debian Stable, which is nearing the end of its run, has a recent backport (currently at 6.12.9).

Oh that’s cool to know! Yeah, I can’t think of something myself.

I largely agree with ya. I bet someone can cook up some edge cases where the newer kernel might matter. I like that this article lays out how to setup the GPU. But I know Ubuntu has a nice gui for installing proprietary drivers.

I want to add on to that, flatpak even struggles with native Linux games like left4dead2. (Hardly any mods work)

I just started a new run in CDDA. https://cataclysmdda.org/

I saw a new major version was released and made the switch.

So far it’s feeling good. I’m currently dying slowly to the harsh winter but otherwise ok!
