Hi I’m Tim.

I’m AuDHD - officially diagnosed ADHD and self-diagnosed (for now) with ASD. I also suffer from a great deal of Imposter Syndrome.

Yeah I’m only playing balanced or whatever the middle/default difficult is. I have 263hrs as of right now and have really been enjoying it. And I’m doing Dark Urge so I’m missing a bunch of content just because of “bad decisions”, and the way I ended up in act 2 I also know I missed a bunch of content. I’m not even close to being done with Act 3 (I don’t think) and I’m already debating if I will do another playthrough afterwards, or play something else from my ever growing backlog. And I’ve never been a 100%'er and usually happy/lucky if I even finish it. 😂

Indeed, I often times will play for a few hours and find all sorts of cool things, but nothing that moves the story along.

Case in point, I have been playing BG3 for months a few hours here and there and I’m only in the beginning parts of Act 3. And before that I dumped probably 400hrs into Elden Ring, and then went back in for many, many more when the DLC came out.

I think in NY we are aware and the state is trying brace for the worse, and I see/hear people starting gardens, getting chickens, and basically have “bug out bags” incase things go sideways.

Doesn’t that strip any anti-glare or other coating your glasses may have? I’ve always been told dish soap without additives (aloe etc.) under warm water (not hot enough to soften your frames) is your best bet to remove dirt and oils.

It’s simple. Consumer watch dogs are bad for exploitive profiteering. Musk is dismantling anyone with any oversight of his companies.

Edit And the reason given for all of it is fraud and bloat, and no evidence supplied and they’ll backtrack on every statement.

Exactly, and you saw a lot more antifa folks showing up during the BLM protests because they were countering the Proud Boys and other chuds. Since a lot of top ranking Proud Boys went away for J6, and BLM protests have stopped we haven’t seen antifa in the streets is all.

I don’t think it’s always a difficult task to tell if someone is arguing in bad faith or not, and someone basing their argument on incorrect information is not that (and I assume you know that). So trying to say that I see a mere disagreement on a topic the same as one made in bad faith sounds like you’re trying to conflate the two, making it a bad faith argument.

But if pretending a ‘difference of opinion = bad faith argument’ is what you’re looking for I guess good luck. That is what I would call a “circle jerk”, but to each their own. Not sure how that type of discussion with no basis in reality can help anyone to “learn and grow” though.

The issue is that you can’t have discussion or debate with:

  1. statements in bad faith
  2. statements not based on reality (conspiracy theories/misinformation/“alternative facts”

So the issue is once you have removed those, you aren’t left with many people holding a very broad spectrum of viewpoints outside of niche topics (Vi vs Emacs).

I think you are going to have a hard time finding a place to talk with a group that overall deals in bad faith arguments and hate speech. They also tend to silo themselves off to their own platforms over concerns that their hate speech gets them moderated (because Free Speech != does not mean speech without consequences or needs to be tolerated by everyone).

If you really want to see the MAGA “point of view” you are probably better off going to them on Truth Social, Gab, 4chan, The_Donald, etc.

Which is why a “run on the Bank” or “Bank run” is unsustainable for Banks these days.

Not in a religious way.

All evidence points to religion being about control of the poor. For example, the Christian old testament was originally written in a language the poor could not read, and translating it was illegal. And almost all have a group at the top profiting off the many that have much less.

I believe Beeper is Matrix under the hood. They have just made it more accessible with a new interface and pre-installed bridges.

Bagpipes are sweet and I could listen to some bagpipe antics for sure. What’s the best one you would share if you could find someone to care about it?

Also, does semi pro mean you play for money? Last year I learned from a former co-worker that you can actually play marching band instruments for money. I thought the only musician folks making $ were in a band doing gigs, or in an orchestra style gig.

Really? You think constant physical/verbal abuse has less merit than some shitty hit job by another YouTuber just looking for clicks because YouTube rewards drama with its algorithms.

In my world people come before things/reviews.

That video I’m sure (if like the last - I’m not clicking it GN deserves no clicks) is just more drama video and nothing “journalistic” about it. It’s just another reaction style video to feed the algorithm and give him free hyped up drama views. The sooner we stop rewarding content like this, the sooner the Internet become a little less toxic and full of bot made videos.

As soon as I saw who the video was by it’s a hard pass for me. This is drama for clicks, nothing more. Steve could do something worthwhile with his time instead of these silly reaction style videos for the YouTube algorithm. Like Linus stated, if he really had issues, and actually felt a concern about anything in the video he would have reached out. Not doing that makes this no better than the bot created trash for clicks IMHO.
