I’m from the UK and after driving one about 100 metres I refuse to drive an automatic car, it’s one of the main reasons why I don’t want an electric car either. Automatic cars are horrible twitchy things that just aren’t enjoyable to drive and you can’t change gears to anticipate a change in the road before you’re already on that bit of road.
I managed to get down to spending roughly £2 a week on food a while ago by only eating egg fried rice, I got pretty much all the nutrients I needed because you can just mix in whatever veg you want but it didn’t have enough calories. If you combine it with other meals though you’d be able to make a filling dinner for dirt cheap.
(Replying from alt instance cause main one is down)
I’m in the UK and it was a dodgy cash in hand job at a chippy with no actual contract, so I didn’t really have any way to fight against it if I had wanted to keep the job anyway.
Even if I had a way to fight against it I was technically too young for the job and my car didn’t have the right insurance to do it because of that so I didn’t want any extra attention. I got through the college year and got decent grades though so it all worked out alright in the end.
Started with lemm.ee just because it was the first instance I found when I looked up lemmy. Moved over to lemmy.world when I tried to customise my profile a bit and hit the image size cap but now I’m spending most of my time back on lemm.ee anyway because lemmy.world seems to be offline most of the time.
First time I ever played minecraft it was in 1.2 and I spawned in on a spruce beach, I had a crappy 3x2 sand hut with a dirt roof and a tower sticking out the side that went way up into the air. I wish I still had that world but I haven’t even been able to find the seed again let alone a 12 year old save. It was my first time playing anything on PC too so I had no idea how to move and started trying to move using the arrow keys and I thought I had a broken copy of the game.
Idk if they’re a thing over there but Kia Picantos are great, they’re basically go carts (the 2011 onwards models anyway). My only issue is that you can be problem free till it hits 10 years old and then once the first electrical gremlin shows up they all turn up one after the other.
