I didn’t hear about any mandates yet but if it does I’ll make sure all management is on the same page.

I really appreciate the sentiment. I don’t think I would do anything with stickers or decorations without talking to him first because I don’t want it come across as performative.

I appreciate that, and I do try my best to treat everyone fairly. As for asking random people on the internet, I just wanted more outside perspectives than just the people around me.

I absolutely wish I could. That could get us in trouble with hr and administration, even though that’s the overwhelming sentiment in my workplace.

l’m a librarian so yes the government, but nlt the federal government.

LOL. For what it’s worth I recommended to HR that they get moved to the next pay step.

How do I better support my trans supervisee?
Hi Lemmy, Apologies if this is a dumb question. I have a trans person that I supervise and I know he is having a hard time after Trump's only two genders executive order. Is there anything I can do to make sure that he feels supported at work? I have regular check-in meetings with my staff so I was hoping to see how he was doing, but don't want to force him into an uncomfortable discussion. Note: His performance is still excellent at his job so this isn't a "coaching conversation" or anything like that

I can’t n get into rhythm games but I just don’t think I found the right one. I am sure there is a rhythm game out there that will blow me away.

I’m in the same boat. I had a PS1 when I was a kid and didn’t rediscover video games until a few years ago in my early 30s. I definitely appreciate games more as a form of self expression as an adult.

Not every game is for everyone, and that’s okay!

What are some video games that made you a better gamer?
For example, I am terrible at Super Meat Boy, but just playing it has really improved how I play platformers and games that need faster imputs overall.

Ooh! And Chad’s other podcast Games of Roses is great too! Completely changed at how I look at the bachelor.

Judge John Hodgman. It’s about people with silly disputes, and John and his bailiff Jesse Thorn way in on them. What’s great is even though the disputes are silly, they both come at the cases with such thoughtfulness and empathy, listening to the show will make you a better and kinder person. Also sometimes Jean Grae guests bailiff’s and she is amazing too.

Mussels. They are cheaper than clams, easy to cook, can taste just as good, and easy to make fancy.

Matthew McFadyen is a better Mr. Darcy than Colin Firth.
