Take any site with a grain of salt, but I find they’re usually not too bad for a general idea of what you may be in for.
Rc cars. I got a crappy 1/6 scale truck (newbright) for shits and giggles to see what it could all do before I fried and broke it. Ended up slowly dumping a bunch of crap into it (Batteries, lights, new controller, esc, new brushless motor etc)
Wouldn’t have been quite so bad if it was a “normal” scale rc, but parts for something 1/6 scale is pretty pricey. I could have just bought a better machine, but it was still fun and I learned a bit about rc stuff. This is the frankenRC https://i.imgur.com/ey1jJYX.jpg
In your power settings there should be an option “choose what closing the lid does” or something like that, and you can change it to do what you’d like.
Not sure what os you have but on windows you can just right-click your battery icon in the task bar and choose power options from there. Linux has something similar but I don’t recall where exactly.
Not caring. When I was younger I used to stress out because I was concerned about peoples opinions, not fitting in, or doing something stupid and giving others the wrong impressions of me. As a result I came off as shy until I got comfortable around someone. (Then you couldn’t shut me up). Now as I’m getting older, I really don’t care much about some random persons opinion and will often talk to anyone I run into. (Even if it’s just a simple “Hello,” or “How’s it going?” It’s like we all have a little social egg shell around us sometimes that needs a tap or two to crack open. As an aside, you will meet some pretty interesting people too.)
And at the end of the day, it’s what YOU think of you that matters, no one else. Just be the best you that you can be, and don’t fret the little things. If someone doesn’t like you for that, it’s their loss and they’re missing out on all your gloriousness.
