Shows how much multinational media companies care about their non-english audience.

Have a 2 hour phone chat (with spouse?)

Buy a note book and write a diary to remind yourself of everything that has happened in the last year.

There’s !music@beehaw.org where you could ask.

I once opened a glass bottle of soda with my teeth, having nothing else around. It worked but it wasn’t worth it.

I know early on you had Factorio playthroughs.

Maybe Satisfactory and Factorio are your kind of “space exploration” game.

“Once we head out, you won’t be able to return to your hometown for a while. Are you ready to leave?”

  • Yes
  • No

So many moments like this in RPGs that make it hard to leave just by saying that. I get so sad and I have to walk around saying goodbye to everyone in the whole area before I depart.

I had no idea Borderlands series had a splitscreen co-op mode! I have done online co-op before and it was fun.

That game is a lot of fun. The play feels very different comparing 1-2 players (strategizing, skillful combat) and 5-6 players (a full out mayhem and frenzy).

Streets of Rogue is hilarious fun, and the electro-underground pop soundtrack is cool.

I love couch and online co-op! Here are some recommendations from my library

  • A lot of Team17 games like Overcooked (including 2 and AYCE edition) or Movin’ Out.
  • Plate Up!
  • Unrailed!
  • Out of Space
  • Magicka 2 (and 1 but its way harder)
  • Wizard of Legend (hard game will need many tries)
  • Castle Crashers
  • Risk of Rain (1 is difficult or 2 which is easier)
  • Sonic All Stars Racing Transform/Team Sonic Racing
  • Spelunky (1 or 2)
  • TMNT Shredder’s Revenge

I wonder if a “Reverse Funnel Fundraising Strategy” is legal?

Or my latest invention, the “Square-based Cone Financial Plan”?

King didn’t even plug the book in the article.

Only time companies tend to do that is for game remasters/ports.

Hey, it is a great year for games and you are absolutely fine to be excited about it! Like you say there a lot of highs but I’m trying to keep things within realistic context.

This year started off not so great and has had some lows alongside its great highs. Several live service games shutting down early this year, Suicide Squad game being a generic looter shooter, Redfall being okay but buggy, Forspoken being not great, LOTR-Gollum being not fun to play.

People in general have soured a little on microtransaction filled live service games. Established IP-driven games will likely still succeed and rake in tons, but people will be wary about new IPs tied to live-service games that can disappear in a heartbeat.

Sorry if this is me being a negative Nancy, I am looking forward to what’s coming next but I figure I should remind people this very recent history.

He’s definitely parodying the style of Nintendo Direct with poses like these:

Yeah I just turned off every notification from Messenger Lite after seeing that. Next month I might just uninstall it completely, or opt for the Matrix bridge.

Technology Connections talks about a red fridge from Walmart for an hour
In a video by @Techconnectify@mas.to, Alec goes into a deep dive into the simplicity of his particular model, its shortcomings and variety of data logging tests in an attempt to fix them. TL,DW: Very simple, cheap and ingenious design, with one compressor loop between the fridge and freezer in series. However, its temperature sensor is wonky and so the fridge is more affected by how long the compressor operates than the actual temperature itself. There is a signficant temperature differential between the top and bottom, fans on the exterior or interior could help but with the faulty sensor only made matters worse. With the controller replaced with a proper temp control unit the fridge functioned much better.
