Fashion designers are being replaced by AI.
Investment capitalists are starting to argue that C-Suite company officers are costing companies too much money.
Our Ouroboros economy hungers.

That’s completely untrue. At this point in your life you have an established set of purchasing locations and a purchase history. You’re discussing disingenuously for either the sake of arguing or because you don’t understand how the world works, either of which suggest pursuing this further is a waste of time and energy.

You say that like the stores don’t buy that based on your meat-buying history.

They always prepare more than the allotted amount based on demand to meet unanticipated fluctuations. Your spent dollars on meat per month are calculated into their spreadsheets. No amount of pretend justification liberates you from the consequences of your actions. If you did not buy meat, there would be (your consumption*1.25) less meat in the store on average. You are not buying overflow meat. They are producing your meat plus overflow.

Just for you.

The purchase of an item is treated as the demand of an item. This is how an economy works. They don’t mean that you’re barging into places yelling about how you want meat. Your money flowing to them is enough to justify further slaughter to provide more meat.

Out of curiosity, are they delicious or are their rubs/seasonings/spices/sauces delicious?

A vegan friend of mine once asked me this question and while I can honestly reply that I can find them tasty with just the fat needed to cook it, plenty of people I know require at least a little (but sometimes copious amounts of) plant-based modification.

On the flip side, I only enjoy coffee with lots of cream and sugar. If I didn’t need the caffeine I might give it up completely.

Lime, actually. Lime pairs a little better with legumes or red meats in my opinion, and pairs equally as well with pork as lemon. Lemon is a winner when paired with chicken, however.

A hot, spicy, citrus-laden soup loaded down with potatoes, chayote, spinach, onions, cilantro, and a protein source of your choice. Flavor with stock. Broccoli and/or carrots added in late in the cooking to preserve their crunch.

The psychological effects of a hearty meal and the nutritional benefits are great. Make it in a big enough pot and you can keep coming back to it over 2 days, leaving you free from cooking and limiting additional dishes to mess with while sick.

Spend that time practicing self-care instead. The mental boost is considerable and lessens the awful feeling of being sick.

Also, make sure to take in sunlight, but also spend some time cozy in a dark setting. Falling into a hard habit can adversely affect your mood.

Don’t neglect grooming. A hot shower and a clean, head of hair/scalp is something people may take for granted, but I’ve had to go days without a shower sometimes and the feeling of a freshly washed head is revitalizing.

I’ll agree. When I first came here it reminded me of being part of 4chan back in 2005 when pranks and memes were partially cerebral and relied on you having some basic intelligence. Even if they were dumb, you had to appreciate the majesty of mass-calling GameStop to ask if they had Battletoads in stock. 4chan slowly devolved into a cesspit, and it didn’t occur to me until I joined Reddit 10 years ago that the people I had cut my teeth with regarding internet culture had moved on.

Over the years Reddit became slowly more, and then radically less interesting. I gravitated toward more niche communities or ones that challenged my worldview to maintain my engagement. It could still be engrossing, but I noticed more and more that Reddit just filled the gaps when I had nothing better to do, like reading on the toilet.

Early in the divergence I jumped to kbin and rediscovered the kind of intelligent discourse I had been missing all over again. However, I’ve already seen fascist apologizers and trolls migrating as well.

To borrow a phrase: “But, rest assured, this will be the sixth time we have destroyed it, and we have become exceedingly efficient at it.”

Is there any chance you’re confusing it with the Nelvana logo from the 1980’s?
