Story time… A guy I used to work with hit me up out of the blue to ask if I could venmo him $20 and he’d venmo it right back. I, knew this proposition was suspect. I told him he could just have $20 if he needed it. I asked around, and apparently he’d been hard into drugs and asked a similar thing to a lot of other people. He asked if the company I worked for was hiring a few weeks later. “Sorry bro, hiring freeze.” (There was no hiring freeze). I also never sent him another dime.
LMAO this just reminded me of the time my buddy’s car was overloaded and I still didn’t want to walk home so I asked him if I could ride on the roof of his sedan with my arms holding on through the window holes. It worked, and I didn’t die, so I got that going for me. Glad people didn’t have smartphones then like they do today. A vid would have 100% made it’s way to my parents somehow.
Stopped using Facebook when they killed the feed and started inputting random shit instead of posts of people I actually know. Slowed way down on reddit and came here when they killed RIF. Never had Twitter because it was a cesspool even before Elon. Never had Snapchat, or be real or tiktok because they all seemed stupid, and in the last one’s case, I didn’t want the CCP having any information about me. I still technically have a Facebook for marketplace and will check it on occasion, but I haven’t posted on probably like 8 years.
The sequels suck.
The Mandalorian, Rogue One, Andor, Ahsoka, The Clone Wars The Bad Batch, all range from great to decent. Hell, even the Boba Fett and Obi Wan series were okay.
