Most people in military combat end up dying from bleeding caused by an injury. It can happen in two minutes where they lose enough blood to die. A tourniquet will stop that bleeding as long as the injury is in an extremity and can be left on for hours without further damage, giving you enough time to get to a hospital.
My wife and I are the same way. I don’t understand her taste in music and she doesn’t understand mine. I like different types of movies and TV, so we compromise. But nearly all of the important things like political views, childrearing, social views, and life goals match.
Oddly enough, we differ in religious views, but she’s only lightly Methodist and I’m atheist, so it’s not a crazy untenable difference.
If there’s one service that I’m okay giving my data over for, it’s Google maps.
Without that, we wouldn’t have traffic data or how busy a business is. Crowd sourcing information is the only way to get a service as good as google maps. It’s actually amazing to me that it’s free given all of the satellite and street imaging done.
This is the real reason. The cost savings is negligible. But as soon as Apple got rid of the headphone jack, they introduced the AirPods.
Then Google did it, Samsung did it, and every other phone manufacturer followed suit. They all have their own wireless earbuds.
