Vice hates Mastodon. No surprise there, because Mastodon will never advertise on Vice or make a corporate relationship with Vice. They are not reacting to the technology, because the writer’s statement about Mastodon being built on an old technology stack in contrast to Bluesky are factual nonsense. They are reacting to the nonprofit nature of the Fediverse. We should expect more of this in the mainstream press.
