I did not even know about the lastpass breach. I had one years ago and the vault should have been gone but im always paranoid about that.

I don’t think you get it. With a distributed ledger your username could be unique. sorta like the digital art pieces. So if your instance goes down you register at another one with your token and it recognizes you and associates you with everything it conceivably can (some stuff may only have been saved on the instance which is gone). So if the new instance has magazines you interacted with it should still be able to see comments as yours and such.

I disagree here. with p2p/federated you have to worry about if your microprovider goes out. I think blockchain would be a useful way to keep a users preferences and to keep usernames distinct.

Yeah but you say where you are. Can you use it anywhere in the country with that effect? Maybe if you are not the US but here we don’t have a centralized system.

agreed. as patients we should be able to login and then select hospitals, practices, doctors, etc to allow access.

Thing with bard is you do not get a bard companion at least in the beginning (I have only played so far into it). You get a cleric, thief, fighter, and wizard pretty early. Granted you can respec anyone to whatever you want but bardic inspiration combined with guidance from the cleric is pretty nice for the various non combat rolls and then it gives you two sources of healing word and bardic inspiration is pretty nice in combat as well. The biggest annoyance factor is the bard can’t inspire themselves.

its more like a ted talk but about some aspect of physics. Talks about complex topics that are understandable to a the non expert but you know you need decent science grounding. Seems like post docs have been the speakers but the guy now has been doing it awhile so im not sure if its like a career now for him. When they get deeper in a topic they link to earlier ones that have went through different important background pieces that could be helful to watch to understand the current topic. Topic bounces between recent developments to just interesting theoretical concepts and such.

Today on npr they mentioned 1.5 being likely within 10 years and could result in catastrophic consequences. Um ah. So half of north america being on fire and the other half along with europe and china have weeks of record breaking heat is not catastrophic along with all the drought!!!
