Thereâs only one thing I would alter in your statement. You said:
âŚand to focus on shareholder profits over making a good product.
I would say, "and to focus on shareholder profits over making a good product anything else, including life itself.
Itâs more profitable for a health insurance company to deny someoneâs claim than to pay for their healthcare in the US. The insurance company wonât care if that ultimately leads to the personâs death - they have to answer to their shareholders.
Itâs more profitable for NestlĂŠ or Google to siphon water from countries in the global South than it is to have sustainable practices that donât exacerbate climate change. So what if that means that millions of people will die in the years to come? Thatâs their problem for being poor.
We need to bring about the kind of change that has politicians recognize that there is more to human life than a dollar amount, and that poverty is not a moral failing on the part of the individual. But until that happens, poverty is akin to a death sentence.
This is like saying, âpeople need air to breathe.â The fact this is a revelation to gaming studios is deeply concerning.
I played some when it was in early access, and Iâve been absolutely loving BG3 now that itâs officially released. I havenât felt like this about a game in a long time, and itâs probably because Larian studios treated this like Divinity Original Sin - a complete game with loving care. As I saw in another review, they didnât make a D&D game, they just made D&D.
I composed a choral piece away from a piano at a coffee shop years ago. What Iâm most proud of is that the voice leading works really well, and yet the chords are quite interesting. It also helps that Iâm a professional musician, but I get a little thrill when I get to conduct or perform that piece.
I AM DELIGHTED TO SEE ANOTHER FELLOW HUMAN HERE. ALL OF THESE OTHER COMMENTS ARE HARMING MY
