My guy, I literally say that my issue is the slapstick way he rejects the saber. I don’t have an issue with him rejecting it, I have an issue with him throwing it away for a cheap laugh.

He could have laid it down, he could have given it back to Rey - anything is better than him carelessly throwing it over his shoulder.

You might notice that I agree with you regarding Luke? I didn’t criticize those aspects of the movie.

Ah yes, thank you for your detailed and useful critique of my comment. Let me respond in kind:

No u!

Hayden Christensen had a far better idea that would lead to the fall of Skywalker without changing much of the films.

What idea?

Regarding The Last Jedi - I agree that it tried something different, and that wasn’t a bad approach. What killed it for me however was the amount of slapstick and Marvel-esque humor. Star Wars always felt like mostly serious movies - sure, there was always goofy stuff like the trash chute monster or Jar Jar, but all in all they had the air of movies that take themselves seriously (probably due to the space opera nature).

TLJ was the first movie where I didn’t feel any of that. The first scene basically took a shit on a beloved character by way of cheap slapstick, and that never stopped.

(different person here)

I can’t give a satisfying explanation, but I can really recommend 3Blue1Brown on YT for great motivations for such things. He presents these topics in ways that make you want to understand them. I’m not sure which videos approach imaginary numbers - there might be standalone ones, but it definitely comes up in his explanation of the Fourier transformation.

I’m sorry, that sucks. As cliche as it sounds, when I was stuck in a similar rut, the biggest positive influence was to try and go outside regularly. Even if it’s just walking through nature for a couple of minutes every other day, it really helped my energy levels and mood.

Stay strong! I hope you find something better.

At this point, it’s easier to count the prequel lines that haven’t become memes.

So lore-wise it’s not supposed to be possible, but that one room does indeed have moving portals. The explanation is supposedly that portals disappear when the object they are on is accelerated.

Granted. The portals immediately close when you try to move the plates.

It does take a while

To get used to the INTOnation

But once you’ve managed that

The man is pure gold

And as always:

🎶 eeeenjooooyyyyy 🎶

There’s also one massive miscalculation in there.

What if the “real god” prefers non-believers to believers in the wrong gods? What if he’s jealous, and only his believers and non-believers go to heaven, while all believers of wrong gods go to hell?

We would have definitely figured it out once we built GPS, since you need to account for relativistic effects there.

I have two answers.

First, my general reflexes, situational awareness in games etc. were strongly improved thanks to Doom Eternal. The game keeps you stressed and engaged the whole time (especially on the harder difficulties) and you have to be very quick. It was the first time I needed custom keybindings to be fast enough to solve some sections. Switching between 8 weapons, sometimes after single shots, is something you have to get used to, but it’s incredibly fun!

Second, specifically for 6DoF navigation, Outer Wilds was incredible. When I started I could barely make the spaceship go anywhere without exploding, now I feel I could be pretty good at a 6DoF racing game!
