ENGWE BATTERY RECALL/WARNING
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTRBM-3u6q0&t=1s ENGWE does **not** seem to be notifying their US customers about this, as usual: Their customer experience is a dumpster fire. Contact them ASAP for a fix, but good luck because my experience with their support has been total dog shit. Never again will I buy from them and you shouldn't either.

The wifi itself isn’t shutting off, it’s just blocking certain computers and if they are smart enough to manually change their MAC address, you would need to revert to controls local to their machines, but on my home router, it’s a standard feature: I just logged into the local DNS web app for managing the router and added the MAC addresses.

For local device management, it varies depending on the device but broadly speaking there are usually built in parental controls for most Microsoft/Android/Apple devices: It’s just a matter of configuring them.

That said, a low-tech solution to this if you didn’t care if your network went down would be to either manually turn it off or attach it to a timer to automatically shut it off. I don’t go this route because I still want Internet after bedtime and sometimes do overnight downloads/updates.

Not really inherently either, it depends on what you do with them IMO.

Adrenaline dumps can be pretty jarring.

Personally, I have a drink, vape or eat some CBD, take a shower or even a bath afterwards. I’m a fan of epsom salt baths because they seem to help with soreness and some come with nice smells too. Might seem a little girly to some but anybody who judges someone for taking a nice bath is someone who has an opinion I don’t care about lol.

If you can go for a walk or a bike ride that might help too, but not everything works for everyone: You might need to figure out what works for you. Meditation can help as well, but sometimes you just need some time to process things. Might have some fucky dreams for a bit too.

P.S. Relying on alcohol is a bad idea and I’m not a role model, probably skip the drink.

I mostly automate it: Their phone won’t function after bedtime (except for emergency use like calling 911), their devices cannot connect to the network until morning, and physical access is restricted unless it’s the appropriate time.

Probably just because you live in a big city and there are a shitload of bluetooth devices around. If you’re worried, try moving out of bluetooth range and scanning again to see if any of them don’t change.

Just taking a break from work and wanted to browse a bit while I am relaxing.

For a cold?

Soup, spicy food, hot drinks, salt water gargle, and sometimes I’ll use OTC cold medicine (but be careful because they usually have tylenol in them so you don’t want to drink or take other medicines that can fuck up your liver).

!micromobility@lemmy.world is my latest obsession: Friends, family, and colleagues are tired of hearing me talk about ebikes.

You’ve got some fucked up shit heading your way kiddo, can’t really do anything about it though so I guess just git gud and toughen up? Also, avoid alcohol, it doesn’t help and will eventually kill you.

I was on reddit before I was on digg, but yeah.

I’m all for it, things like cochlear implants have already been improving lives for decades.

Depends on the community and the articles I guess. Not a fan of bots making posts unless it’s in comments for something useful like auto TLDR or something.

I’m not, I just post/read/comment wherever. Sometimes the same articles will pop up repeatedly but I just ignore them.

Train to Busan

It’s the only Korean movie I’ve watched. I guess it’s technically a zombie/horror movie but I would argue that it’s still pretty dramatic and should count as a drama.

Also, it’s a solid movie. Would recommend.

Yes, I used CBD herb (hemp) along with a dynavap to quit smoking: It worked great! I still vape dry herb partly to relax and partly to quell any urges for cigarettes since a dynavap is very similar in shape and use. I have been cigarette free for 5 years now!
