That’s a very good point. Not going to lie, I’m still convinced there is something pretty wrong in some law enforcement avenues, but you’re right that the cop killings make the news quickly (although once would be one to many).

Yeah weird situation, curious what the actual story is here.

I’d think that 2 big cars might be an indication that there’s more stuff to be found inside, not from an old lady, but a guy who seems helpful and would open up to help a girl in need? I guess there would be accomplices, who might be able to know about the cameras?

But I’m just thinking out loud. Idd is pretty weird, all the parts of the entire story. If it is real, given how there are stores nearby, I’d think she would find someone there fast? And she prolly would be safe?

The Police being so apathetic is super fucked though. I’m guessing you’re from the states? Police really aren’t that trustworthy there, right?

I mean, this prolly sounds pessimistic but could be a scam? Using a innocent looking person to get people to open up while so rough customers hide somewhere?

Ha, funny that the Red Bull and Cadbury eggs were the go-to themes for OP instead of the slutty nature of Rayne.

What do you mean “if you are an atheist, why did you do it”? I just want raised with a religion.

Oh that’s sounds nice. Not sure how to word it well, but: is that a bit interesting to do long term? Is it following the advancements in science in a nice tempo? Do you have room for innovation yourself?

Manager in the neuroscience lab where I did my PhD. Actually pretty nice because I know the lab and everyone so we’ll I can often do the management in a few hours and then just focus on my research (finishing my thesis because behavior plus in vivo neurophysiology takes more like 7 years instead of 4 lol). Although, there can be some very stressful moments, big grants or so (and my boss is one of those breathing-science profs that will msg on WhatsApp on the weekend or days off lol, but yeah fuck that). I learned that I’m not good enough/invested enough to actually become a PI or prof, so this management stuff is pretty nice on the edge. I don’t have the responsibilities but my opinion is often respected due to my research experience in the lab. Pay is shit tho.

Subbed to it last year because I like a lot of the nature stuff, and it’s pretty good. But to be honest, in the day to day live I tend to forget it and go for the quick and easy dopamine rush of a comedy show I already saw 300 times. A bit sad

If you like cats and building things for cats this guy is amazing: https://www.youtube.com/@hahahaYouTube

It’s a korean guy on a fish farm that started vlogging 7 years ago, and he had a lot of stray cats that he helped out, made food for, made sleeping spots etc. I think he became pretty popular in korean (1mil + subs), and he is now building more and more cool stuff for his cats.

There is a solar tanning parlor of sorts in a street close to us. I might just live in a bubble where noone would ever go to one of those parlors, but it seems to be open pretty late, and it feels like there are often some unsavoury people going in/coming out. It’s become a running joke that it’s a front, to be honest don’t have a clue but I wouldn’t surprise me.

Idk, I’ve got good experiences with stuff from the airfryer so far, also in terms of crispiness and stuff. It’s idd different from a deepfryer, for sure, but works good enough for me. Also gotta say that I don’t have a deepfryer anymore, and when I had one years ago it was an annoying device to use, so I guess the ease of use is also something that makes me like it.

I think you could get away with an oven and a deepfryer with everything, but in my experience an airfryer is generally faster than the oven, and less oily than a deep fryer (I wanna say more healthy but I don’t really know enough about the details, so I’ll just stick to the objectively “less oily”).

I use it for fries (sweet potatoe fries most often), anything resembling nuggets (like vegetarian nuggets/schnitzels, other veggy pattys, falafel), fry-snacks (eggrolls, samosa, bitterballs), and you can get a bit adventurous with trying our breads, vegetables, or other stuff that you would just plop in the oven.

Good hiking shoes and some hiking pants. Especially the pants, got a set from the Decathlon for 40 bucks or so, light, airy, but not cold, extra pockets with zippers, zip-off bottom parts, elastic bands at the bottom. Use them for hiking but almost any activity that just requires a comfortable and efficient pant (actually it would work everywhere except at the office now that I think about it).

Plus one for airfryer. Bought one that was on discount a few years back, has a spot on top of the cabinet when not in use but it’s almost always on the counter.

I love beautiful environments and such, so if I could pick anything that wouldn’t exists based on something that does exist, I would make a 3D or even VR version of this old Korean 2D sidescrolling game called Maplestory.

Not gonna lie, that’s going to be 99.9% nostalgia, but it has a couple of awesome areas that have amazing backgrounds and thoughts behind it. Like typical magical forests, dungeons, cloud cities, but also a lego-gone-interdimensional city where time is weird.
