Right? The question was: How do you deal with being broke? And I answered “I got the skills so that I am no longer broke.”

That’s how you deal with broke-ness in the 21st century. Skills. Same as always.

The CS grads I am forced to interact with are barely literate and terrible at their jobs. I didn’t get lucky – I’m fucking good at what I do. If you let the fear of market forces dictate what you do in this life, you’re just being cowardly.

We cannot hire enough linux professionals fast enough. There just isn’t enough smart linux pros to do the work we need.

I have an account now, if I go disappear my account doesn’t just vanish

When I graduated university with an art degree I learned Linux and became a system engineer. Ten years later I’m not even close to broke. I’m doing quite well for myself. I taught myself everything I need to know about Linux, bash scripting, ansible, docker, picked up python, some php and JavaScript(node). I’m starting a side hustle selling custom built light fixtures and WLED installs for home construction. Im always working on new pieces to sell and looking for more custom installs.

Well there’s the Watch Later playlist and then if you don’t know if you want to re-watch it after you’ve already watched it, there’s nothing I can do for you.
