I went back to PS2 era games. This was the golden era imo, where games came out in a playable state and an amazing amount of content. Right now I‘m playing a completely English translated version of Monster Hunter 2 on a private server that went live about a month ago, it’s amazing.

Imo Dead Space was the last decently made mobile game. After that the F2P craze started and never stopped.

Man, those are real friends right there. I’m sorry for your loss.

This is such an honest and sad statement that I wish was wrong, but isn’t. Whenever I try to open up to another guy, even some of my best friends, they just can’t relate, or make me feel understood, I should say. Talking about depressions and anxiety with another dude feels like chatting about mathematical equations instead of being there for one another. It hurts, but I can’t change it.

Oh okay! Sure you can, but I doubt I could be of much help I’m afraid. But I would try to!

I agree, especially how honest people seem to be. I wish I could hug everyone in here and tell them it’s okay to be sad.

I get withdrawal symptoms on a regular basis. Cold sweat, ravenous appetite, weak limbs, shaky hands. It’s horrible, really.

If you really feel that way, don’t be afraid to seek professional help. It can only get better. Hope you’ll get better soon!

If you’re offering help: Much appreciated, but I’m pretty stable lately. I was just wondering who I would reach out to in a major crisis and who you folks rely on.

Our minds work in mysterious ways, that’s for sure. I‘m thankful that I haven’t hit rock bottom for quite a while. It doesn’t hurt to know whom you can reach out to when you do though.

Oh my bad! Damn, that hurts to hear 🥲 hope you‘re doing okay.

Sorry, second language! What would be the correct phrasing?

I guess that’s the American help line? To anyone that struggles with residency in Germany, there’s the Telefonseelsorge. To bring up the courage and reach out is hard, but no one will ever judge you!

You can literally go to the woods, pick up a thick branch and start carving away. Only tool you need is a cheap knife, even an old kitchen knife would suffice for starters.

Roughly a month on Lemmy now and the habitually visit of Reddit completely faded out. Lemmy replaced Reddit without any compromises for me. I’m also trying to establish a Bass-guitar related Community here, so there’s a bigger investment for me to get things going here.

I disagree, it does have a value in that it decides about the hierarchy of your comment/post. Your comment is the last one listed in this thread due to its upvote to downvote ratio.

How do I reach the right people here on Lemmy?
Hi! My name is Manu and I’m the creator of the quite fresh [bassment](https://feddit.de/c/bassment) , a place for all things related to the greatest instrument in existence. I‘m quite overwhelmed by the amount of instances and general communities out there and I‘ve yet to receive an answer from some mods over at the Music communities. We are slowly but steadily growing but I just got a feeling that there has to be a better way to reach other bass players. It’s not like the subscriber number matters, but it feels like there might be something I‘ve been missing. How have you found your favorite communities? How did you promote yours? Thanks!

What‘s keeping us from promoting Lemmy on Reddit?
Serious question, as I‘ve barely seen any mention of Lemmy on Reddit. None of the Mod posts regarding the Blackout mentioned Lemmy as far as I‘m aware. Would it be against the TOS to start a coordinated promotion?
