Hosting videos is very expensive. It would probably make it unfeasible for regular people to host their own Lemmy instances.
Yeah, please donβt add videos to things my instance has to store. The images already pull enough disk space as is.
Some apps already support videos, like Voyager, Liftoff and Lemmy on desktop.
You just need to share the file on external service like catbox.moe
Thereβs already some communities for video only like !combatfootage@lemmy.world
