When people stop believing that justice is possible via the government system, they will seek it through other means. It doesn’t make it right, but it does provide a warning that the system is failing.

I don’t blame the father for not choosing a better target but it would have been great to go Luigi mode instead of just off a retired cop who wont be actively abusing citizens as much as the majority of other cops. He was obviously breaking down and wouldn’t have had capacity to plan such a thing but if you are going to potentially end your life in such a way there are more impactful ways to do it
