Widescreen film was, for all intents and purposes, nonexistent before 1953. And that’s just Hollywood. I’d imagine it took longer to catch on in India, but I’ve only ever seen a handful of 50s Indian films… can’t remember any being widescreen.
So there’s your first hint. Can’t be much help other than that
It looks to me like a 4:3 ratio video that’s been stretched to fit a wide screen.
