Calling it “official” is kind of weird. Anyone can start a futurology community here in the Fediverse, and it’s entirely up to the users which one they want to use.

It will be interesting to see how it does. r/futurology has 19 million subscribers, but I don’t know what that means for the lemmy site.
Hopefully it’ll get a bit more traffic than !futurology@lemmy.world has
