I’m good for like the first 10 seasons, which are the best 10 seasons. I grew up on it and rewatched a lot of them as an adult. It’s funnier as an adult.
Yeah seasons 3 through 8 were the Conan O’Brien years. That’s the golden era.
But there are excellent episodes outside of that. I personally think “SE12 EP18 - Trilogy of Errors” is a top 5 episode. It’s the one where marge cuts off homer’s thumb, Milhouse finds fireworks in a cave and Lisa builds a
partygrammar robot. I haven’t seen enough of seasons beyond like 20 or so to comment on them, but Ive heard they’ve actually been hitting a solid stride since the pandemic.Linguo dead?

He later claimed to have never heard of the movie.
Another quote I love to use is, “Cheeken good.”
One of my all-time favorites. Whenever I have to point to something on a map, I always say “Dot!” with a Leeloo accent… no one gets it.

These are my go to quotes from Snatch and The Big Lebowski that I use whenever the occasion arises. Not everyone gets the reference. I also refer to my anxiety meds as “anti anxiety disco biscuits.” I got that one from Shameless - my doctor got a kick out of that.

I’m currently rewatching this movie right now. I LOVE that line!
I had a roommate once who kept walking in and contributing to conversations with no idea what was happening, so “You’re out of your element!” became a staple.
I once had a dog who was a bit of an asshole, but I loved the cheeky bastard. He knew he wasn’t supposed to be in the kitchen and would purposely lie on the floor and place one paw on the kitchen tile that separated it from the living room and just stared at me. I’d frequently shout, “OVER THE LINE!”
But that was just between me and him. :)
OMG I’m gonna start using this. My dogs also know not to come in the kitchen but they think as long as their back feet are still on the carpet they are not in the kitchen.

For those who actually don’t know: MarkDown (the markup language used by Lemmy and Reddit) uses the backslash as a “cancel” command. And it uses the underscores as an italicize command, just like the *asterisks* you’re probably in the habit of using.
For instance, _this_ turns into this. But when I cancel those underscores with a backslash \_like this\_ they appear.
So why does the backslash disappear on the ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ face? For starters, the backslash cancels the underscores around the head. So the underscores show up, but the arm doesn’t. So what if we try two backslashes? Then we get:

The first backslash canceled out the second, but now the underscores are italicizing the head. So let’s try three:
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Now the first backslash is canceling out the second, and the third backslash is canceling out the underscore.
