Wake me up when indies are hitting the fan too, as it stands I don’t have any shortage of new amazing indie games to play. Not to mention, my backlog barely gets a dent in it even if I manage to finish like 2-3 games a month.

On average I think I end up spending more time on reddit, but I contribute to and like this community a lot more.

What game do you really want to play, but haven't yet because you feel it in your soul that it will get a remake/remaster soon enough?
For me it’s Super Metroid. I have played Zero Mission, Fusion, Metroid: Samus Returns (3ds) and Metroid prime remaster, three of these games are remake/remaster. So you can see why I’m hesitant to start Super Metroid, I’m sure that game still holds up, but playing it with modern controls annd other bells and whistles would be more ideal.

World was a better place when the internet was too complicated for boomers

Yea, one thing I would love to see on Lemmy that I rarely saw on Reddit are level-headed gamers when it came to controversies.

I’m in the same boat, I have RG35XX because of its form factor. It is a nice $50 device for old games and it’s very portable. These on the other hand seem like they are the size of Switch lite, at that point I might as well get one of those attachable controllers for my older android phone and run games on that.
